Original commit message:

[riscv] Fix sp handling in MacroAssembler::LeaveFrame

Keep sp <= fp to ensure that data right above fp doesn't get clobbered
by an inopportune signal and its handler.

Such clobbering can happen in e.g. Node.js when JIT-compiled code is
interrupted by a SIGCHLD handler.

I will open other PRs targeting node.js v20, v22 and v24 after testing.

Could this PR be automatically cherry-picked into v25? It should land cleanly except for the v8_embedder_string bump.

@aduh95 aduh95 added author ready PRs that have at least one approval, no pending requests for changes, and a CI started. commit-queue Add this label to land a pull request using GitHub Actions. labels Feb 4, 2026

I am not sure why there are three checks in the CI that are stuck in "pending" state.
From the linked page, they appear to have already finished hours ago.

Looks like the check state is invalid from the recent GHA outage.

Could this PR be automatically cherry-picked into v25? Thanks!
It should land cleanly except for the v8_embedder_string bump.

Yeah that should be fine - we're working on v25.8.0 just now and it's been automatically included so assuming there are not problems with it it'll be in the new node 25 release.

Never mind, I already saw it in the v25.7.0 release.
