Parking this one for now: the root toolchain can't take TypeScript 7 yet — @typescript-eslint/parser@8.x peer-requires an older TypeScript and npm ci fails with ERESOLVE (it backs the SonarJS complexity gate, so it can't be dropped). Leaving the PR open so dependabot keeps it fresh; it can merge once typescript-eslint ships TS 7 support.
