However, the recording timeline only indicates where recordings exist, but it does not visually distinguish periods where detection events occurred.
When reviewing long recordings, users often need to manually scrub through hours of footage looking for motion. Although events may be listed elsewhere in the interface, the timeline itself provides no visual indication of where activity happened.
It would be extremely helpful if detection events were highlighted directly on the timeline.
Highlight timeline segments corresponding to detection events using a distinct color (for example, green) would allow users to immediately identify periods of interest while navigating recordings.
This is a common feature in many NVR/VMS applications and greatly improves the experience when reviewing recordings, especially for places that generate only a small number of events throughout the day.
