Is your feature request related to a problem?
Hi @open-telemetry/python-maintainers,
it has been moving slowly, but we want to make some progress on the "Getting Started Reference Application" that is outlined in the following 2 documents:
tl;dr this is a standardized sample application that end users can use as a starting point for implementing opentelemetry instrumentation in python. Eventually we want to use this code in docs as well to ensure that it always works (there is still some work that needs to be done for code sync)
I am raising this issue now because I have mentees from the bloomberg mentorship program that want to help with that. Is this something you can take on right now?
Thanks!
