Formatting as a code Action?

Do you think it would be useful to have automatic code formatting for out .SQL files?
There is https://github.com/andialbrecht/sqlparse, which could be used to build a represented as well.

Absolutely! If there is a way to defer formatting choices to a tool which makes things consistent, I think that would be great.

I added an initial python script to format our SQL files: #16
We might need something for the csv files so they do not deviate after the format.

https://github.com/sql-formatter-org/sql-formatter can be used as a CLI tool. It's a tad easier to work with as I can just run it with a file. I can mass-format the repo with it. I'm not strongly opinionated about formatting so I'm happy to use the tool's defaults.
