[FEATURE]: make last prompt text to show on top of screen as sticky line

It would be nice to be able to see the last text prompted. only for like couple lines of text, so at least the users have and idea what opencode was working on.

This would be a nice feature specially working on a lot of terminals at the same time.

If your request is sufficiently distinct (showing the last prompt text specifically, rather than session title or status info), feel free to clarify the differentiation so maintainers can evaluate it separately.

Not a session title, but last prompted text.

We had that for a while, but people were complaining that it takes up too much space, especially for large prompts. We could make it optional, needs a max height though for large prompts and be scrollable probably. I'd prefer extending the session view with a slot so a plugin can do that.

@kommander thanks for the reply. I expect that would be the case, but if configured at least the first to second line can be shown, that should be able to remind user what was the last prompt. and normally, this is helpful with ongoing conversation thats usually shorter prompts.

The goal is just a reminder or quick glance UX, if needed to fully check the prompt text, user can scroll back or arrow up in the input field.

I am working on IDE that handles multiple terminal in single view, this feature Im requesting is going to be a game changer. (Which I hope so)

I have a more specific version of this request and tested a local prototype.

Desired behavior:

• Normal user prompt stays unchanged in the timeline.
• When the prompt scrolls out of view, show a sticky prompt card near the top of the session view.
• Collapsed sticky state shows only the first 2 visual lines.
• If the prompt has more than 2 lines, show a [+] button to expand.
• Expanded state shows more of the prompt and switches to [-].
• A [^] button jumps to the first line of the assistant answer for that turn.

There are three visual states:

• Normal: the user prompt appears in the timeline as it does today.
• Sticky collapsed: after scrolling, the prompt is shown near the top with 2 lines max plus [+] and [^] controls.
• Sticky expanded: [+] expands into a taller prompt card and changes to [-].

I can see two implementation paths:

1. Built-in opt-in feature: add this directly to the TUI session view, behind config/default-off if preferred.
2. Slot + plugin: add a session-view slot/API first, then implement this as a TUI plugin. This seems aligned with the earlier maintainer preference.

I opened a draft PR with the built-in prototype for UX review: #29070. If maintainers prefer option 2, I can split out a smaller slot-only PR first and move the sticky prompt UI into a plugin afterward.

It prototypes the sticky last-prompt behavior discussed in this issue: two lines by default, [+] / [-] for expand-collapse, and [^] to jump to the first assistant text response for the active turn.

This is intentionally a prototype. If the preferred direction is still a session-view slot plus plugin implementation, I can split it into a smaller slot/API PR and move the UI into a plugin.
