Dear SuperAGI Development Team,

I have spent the last two weeks—every single day for 6 to 8 hours—trying to install SuperAGI locally on Windows 11, and no matter what I do, it always gets stuck on "Initializing". I have literally tried every possible solution that has been posted online, including those on GitHub, Discord, and Reddit.

I even went so far as to use an AI-driven automated installation team, testing every possible method—yet, the result is always the same. Clearly, the issue is not on the user's end but rather a major flaw in your code that you have failed to address.

At this point, it’s extremely clear that the problem lies in your negligence. Either your dependencies are outdated, or you are not keeping up with necessary updates and compatibility issues. It's unacceptable that users are expected to struggle for weeks while your team continues to market SuperAGI without ensuring that it actually works!

This issue is being discussed widely on Reddit, and the consensus is that SuperAGI is all about marketing, with little actual functionality. After spending weeks trying to get it to work and seeing zero proper support from your team, I have to say—this criticism is 100% justified.

If you don’t take responsibility and fix these installation issues immediately, your project will continue to lose credibility. No one will recommend a tool that simply doesn't work.

Fix your code. Update your modules. Stop ignoring this.
Because if this persists, SuperAGI won’t be known for automation—it will be known as a broken, overhyped project.

Every time I try a fix from you guys it givers a new error but on screen the same error that its stuck with initializing so there's no actual point sending the error logs as they are different everytime wiith the same error so better fix all at once!

I think I have a similar issue. Spent a while trying to troubleshoot this. Is this a new problem affecting everyone or is it just affecting a few?

I empathize with your situation --I've had many installation hell experiences myself; at some point you just need to move on. Usually I give up after ~1 hour if I can't get a project working - I collect any error messages + logs and file an issue.

I contributed to this repo back when it was starting out (June 2023), and it was one of the best frameworks for running and testing agents at the time. Now, I can't even find the docs for the project on the website, and the issues section is littered with similar installation issues described here. It seems like the company behind SuperAGI has pivoted to focus on a sales/marketing product and hasn't maintained it properly.

My recommendation would be just to implement your own agents by rolling as much of your own code as possible, maybe using something like BAML or Guidance to manage response parsing and Langchain or Llamaindex for chunking, vector search, or some other integrations. I've seen too many LLM libraries abandoned to the point where they more a liability of code you need to fix and understand than a benefit.

That said whenever you open an issue like this you should also include at a minimum any error logs from the backend/frontend, so others like @NorbertoM7 can try to determine if they have the same issue/cause as you, and so the devs/community can pinpoint and eventually fix the error.
