Addressing a Problem?

A while ago I implemented "scans" (think generalization of cumsum, also allows ffill, bfill; so anything with state) in flox.

This may be useful for any "run length" indicators, though I haven't actually tried it. There's no Xarray API yet, but could easily be added. I'd be interested in collaborating with anyone who's interested in trying it out (though after Scipy, July 16)
