Summary
quantilewith a NumPy-compatible signatureaxis,keepdims,out,method, and deprecatedinterpolationarguments when usingpyrecest.backend.quantileaxis=andkeepdims=usageRationale
joint_registration_assignment()initializes without an explicit transform viabackend.quantile(..., axis=0). Under the PyTorch backend,pyrecest.backend.quantilecurrently exposes rawtorch.quantile, which usesdim=rather than NumPy'saxis=. That makes otherwise portable registration code fail only whenPYRECEST_BACKEND=pytorch.Validation
torch.quantile(..., dim=..., keepdim=...)calls against installed PyTorch 2.10.0+cpu.github.com; PR CI should run the focused backend-portability test and full matrix.
